Dialogues with a building

Architectural firm Hub, based in Antwerp, reached out to create a bespoke visual language system for the renovation of AGSO (Autonoom Gemeentebedrijf Stedelijk Onderwijs Antwerpen). In collaboration with the architects, a comprehensive set of pictograms was crafted. This set was carefully integrated with the existing Sun Antwerp typeface, used across all official communications from the City of Antwerp. The aim was to establish a nuanced interaction between the architecture and visitors in the public areas of the building. In private spaces, the communication was scaled down to its essential minimum.
